What this is

An area of engineering work, not a product line.

We take on concept and engineering work for businesses developing unmanned aircraft. The work starts with what the aircraft has to do, and ends with a design that can be built, tested and improved.

An unmanned aircraft is a system. A change to the airframe changes the load on the propulsion, and both change the weight and the balance. We treat the aircraft as one problem, not a set of parts chosen separately.

Areas of work

Airframes, propulsion and materials.

How we approach it

Concept first, then engineering.

Related work

Where the aircraft meets the rest of the system.

Many unmanned aircraft are part of something larger: a sensor platform, an inspection program, a fleet that reports back to software. Our IoT work on embedded controllers and connected devices and our software work sit alongside, for projects where the aircraft has to talk to the systems around it.

What we build

Other areas of work

  • Software

A gemology platform that covers the whole job: assessment, valuation, estimates, workflow and a mobile lab. It runs in your own cloud account, so your data and client records stay with you.

  • Software

Platforms that take routine work off skilled people, so their time goes to the decisions that need them.

  • Robotics and engineering

Embedded controllers and connected devices that bring physical equipment into software.

  • Robotics and engineering

An area of development: robotics, controls and software for picking, packing and moving goods.
